Impromptu pole dancing wearing a beige cardigan? Yup, that about sums me up. A true Gemini, I'm both sides of a coin, often at the same time. This intrinsic duality has led me on the path of creating dynamic and unique experiences. I've been doing this since college. Mostly inventive parties and off-the-beaten-path travel itineraries.
Retreats entered my world and became a sanity-saving lifeline of mine in 1998. That's when I attended my first 'Gathering of Women Clan’, a 3-night retreat in Mendocino, California. I had three young children at the time, one with special needs. The retreat was the one time I could set aside my responsibilities and reconnect with myself. Back in 1998, I was honestly unaware of just how disconnected I had become from who I was beyond my daily roles and obligations. During the first retreat, in the company of compassionate and wise women, I shed the layers of life that kept me from exploring my inner workings. It was like my soul waking up from a deep sleep. It felt really good. I felt free, light, and ALIVE. That’s when I learned the value and power of meaningful women’s gatherings. I discovered—first hand—that sharing life experiences and lessons, diving into creative projects, belly laughing together, and having the occasional cathartic cry is medicinal and fertile ground for growth and transformation. And I learned that taking quality time for myself not only made my life better, I was able to give more to the people I love.
I was fortunate enough to attend the same gathering for 13 consecutive years. Every year I would do a bit of excavation and at some point during the retreat I’d reconnect with my soul and think... ahhh, there I am. I'd still happily attend that same retreat but circumstances changed for the organizer and it all came to an end. I’ve felt called to host women’s gatherings ever since. After decades of party and travel planning, I’m shifting my attention to retreats. I have LOTS of ideas. I’m excited to offer you what I had in Mendocino: unique and enriching experiences, authentic connection with other women, and the opportunity to step away from your demanding day-to-day life and rediscover YOU.
I hope you will come, be delighted and awakened, and join me in my happy place!
PS I am a facilitator and friend who knows how to leave guests feeling treasured, pampered, and relaxed. I am not a therapist or life coach. : )
